Frequently asked questions

How do jobs with unlimited vacation work?

There's no fixed day count or accrual — you request time off and it's approved case by case, based on getting your work done and team coverage, rather than drawing down a bank of days. Somewhat counterintuitively, employees on unlimited plans tend to take about as much or slightly less time off as people with a fixed PTO allowance, and because no days accrue, there's nothing to cash out if you leave.
